In 2010 the Friends secured a grant for £5000 from “Grassroots” to purchase the components of wooden planters and plants for placing in the Coach House/Cafe Ambio court yard. Friends volunteers subsequently built the planters.
As advised by Elaine Taylor, Garden Designer, the plants used were specifically chosen to reflect the period when the Hall was built. Pruning and maintenance, including watering during the summer months, are ongoing tasks carried out by our volunteers.
