Welcome to the Friends of Astley Park website.

We are a small voluntary group committed to the up-keep and preservation of this beautiful and historic park in the market town of Chorley, Lancashire.

Many local people, and visitors from further afield, enjoy the heritage, natural and recreational attractions of Astley Park. Even if you are familiar with the Park, it still has many fascinating features for you to discover.

We act in partnership with Chorley Council, local schools and other voluntary bodies. The tasks range from carrying out routine regular maintenance work done directly by our members to commissioning specific improvement Projects using funding sources not available to the local authority.

We also work alongside two other Astley voluntary groups:

The Friends of Astley Hall  who provide support and funds for the Hall’s conservation, restoration, and presentation.

Astley Walled Gardeners who run and tend the Walled Garden.

Why not volunteer to help us further improve and promote these attractions? Click BECOME A FRIEND OF ASTLEY PARK to find out how.
