We will be working again this coming weekend in the park, Saturday 10th July and there’s plenty to do.
We will resume our assault on the Himalayan Balsam. It is proposed to clear more Balsam from the river area opposite the Sensory Garden so we will be meeting up at the Sensory Garden at 9.30am instead of the Coach House.
There is still weeding etc to be done at the Sensory Garden as well for anyone who wishes to work there.
Next week (Tuesday 13th) there will be an inspection for Britain in Bloom throughout the park including the Sensory Garden so Jan is proposing to do some work there next Monday 12th July afternoon starting at 1.30pm if anyone is able to assist.
Jan has also asked if any members have any Daisy type plants they could donate to fill in some of the empty spaces.
If you would like to see what Friends of Astley Park are all about or you’d just like to come and say hello we’d be delighted to see you.
